Georgian National Energy Regulatory Commission made a decision on the rise of fuel sold to consumers by 1.5 times from May 1, APA Georgia bureau reports.
According to new tariff scale, population will pay 30.6 cents per cubic meters of gas. The Commission fixed different prices for gas due to regions. According to the decision, Gori residents are to pay 33.11 cents for every cubic meters of gas, Sachkher residents 29.34 cents.
Russian Gasprom increased the price of gas exported to Georgia from $110 to $235 for every thousand cubic meters from January 1. Georgia also imports gas from Azerbaijan. The daily demand of the country is 1.3 million cubic meters. /APA/
