President, Prime Minister and parliament speaker not in Georgia

Georgia witnesses unique situation. Three high officials of Georgia- President, Prime Minister and parliament’s chairman are on visit. Mikhail Saakashvili is on official visit to Great Britain, Nino Burjuanadze is taking part in the funeral of Boris Yeltsin and Zurab Nogaidelia is recovering after surgery in US, APA’s Georgia bureau reports
Petre Mamradze, Head of the Administration of the State Chancellery of Georgia said the Georgia Constitution does not have constitutional provision that who is to assume state head’s office while President, Prime Minister and parliament chairman are away from the country. “We have not ever witnessed such a situation.”
Nino Burjuanadze is to return this evening, while Mikhail Saakashvili will come back on April 26. Zurab Nogaideila is to arrive in Georgia in 10 days. /APA/
