Number of terrorist acts decreased in Russia two times

Baku - APA. Number of terrorist attacks decreased two times in Russia last year, said Director of Russian Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, APA reports. According to him, the level of terrorist activity decreased in the country as a result of taken security measures. 779 terrorist acts were committed in the country in 2010 and 365 in 2011. Service’s director said that 94 terrorist acts were prevented last year: “Among them we can note the terrorist acts planned in “Sapsan” high-speed train, Makhachgala city mosque, Khasavyurt trade center, in several significant facilities”. Bortnikov said that the terrorist act committed in Domodedovo airport, shooting of tourists in Kabardino-Balkaria, blast committed in the building of Volgograd Main Department of Internal Affairs, murder of spokesperson for the Dagestan’s presidential administration and the other crimes were cleaned. The committers of these crimes were identified, majority of organizers and committers were arrested or killed while resisting the security forces. Service’s Director said that 49 people left the terrorist activity voluntarily last year.
