Baku – APA. Members of the lower chamber of the Kazakhstan’s Parliament – Mejlis asked President Nursultan Nazarbayev to dissolve the Parliament. According to APA, MP Nurtay Sabilyanov said the next parliamentary elections should be held in August, 2012. “But there are rumors about the dissolution of the parliament. The law enables us to ask the President about that. Kazakhstan celebrates 20 years of its independence this year. Next year the country enters the new phase of its development. It would be symbolic and significant to begin this phase with new parliament and government. The next parliament should be formed at least by two parties. It is important to realize this mechanism. Next year we are expected to face new economic crisis and it will have an effect on the Kazakhstan’s economy. We need to conduct elections until it”.

According to the legislation of Kazakhstan, President can dissolve the Parliament after the consultations with the parliamentarians and Prime Minister.
