Astana hosts informal summit of Collective Security Treaty Organization

Baku. Habil Suleymanzadeh – APA. The informal summit of presidents of member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has started in Astana, Kazakhstan today. APA reports quoting RIA Novosti that leaders of Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are attending the meeting. The presidents will exchange views on regional security, struggle against international terrorism. The officials have stated that no decision will be made during the summit. A number of bilateral meetings will be held in Astana. According to Russian mass media, Russian and Armenian presidents Dmitry Medvedev and Serzh Sargsyan are expected to meet. The resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict will be the main theme of discussion during Medvedev-Sargsyan meeting.

The same issue was discussed during the meeting of Russian and Azerbaijani presidents Dmitry Medvedev and Ilham Aliyev in Sochi three days ago.
