Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. A Russian plane An-12 with 12 passengers on board got out of radar’s screen in Magadan region of Russia early this morning. The plane crew informed about fuel leakage and engine’s catching fire before it was lost, APA reports quoting the Russian news agencies.

The plane owned by Avis-Avia was heading from Komsomolsk-Amur to Keperveem (Chukotka).

Last satellite signal was received when the plane was flying Omsukjan settlement, 310 km from Magadan. An-28 and Mi-8 helicopter were involved in the rescue operations, which were complicated by foggy weather.

An-12 is designated for different shipment and its production began in 1959.
