Baku-APA. Russia could make "certain decisions " unless Syrian President Bashar al-Assad finds common language with the opposition, warned Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
"Unfortunately, people die there in big numbers. This causes our deep concern. Reforms in Syria are needed urgently. He should reconcile with the opposition, restore civil peace and create a modern state," he told local media in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
"If he fails to do so, his fate will be sad. We also will have to make some certain decisions," he was quoted by Interfax news agency as saying.
Medvedev said Moscow was watching closely the situation in Syria, which has been changing "in a very dramatic way", and Moscow’s objectives there would change accordingly.
Moscow has repeatedly stressed that it was firmly opposed to foreign interference in Syria.
