Belarus to sell 50 pct stake in energy company

Baku-APA. Belarus is willing to sell 50 percent of the stock in its energy company Beltransgaz this year, Georgy Kuznetsov, head of the Belarusian State Property Committee, said on Thursday, APA reports siting Xinhua.
"The state’s stake of 50 percent in Beltransgaz will be sold this year. The draft is practically ready ... negotiations have been put off until the fall," Kuznetsov told a press conference here.
The buyer of the 2.5-billion-U.S.-dollar stake will be Russian gas giant OJSC Gazprom, he said.
"There are quite a lot of additional conditions attached to the deal: prices, tariffs, and much else," he said. "As soon as these complicated issues are resolved, the deal will go through as if through butter."
