Baku – APA-Economics. U.S. oil prices settled at a high for the year at above $100 a barrel, building on a rally that has extended for five straight sessions on lower-than-anticipated petroleum inventories, Wall Street Journal reported.
Light, sweet crude for March delivery reached $100.06 a barrel, gaining 18 cents per barrel, or 0.2%, on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude on the ICE futures exchange slid 94 cents a barrel, to $108.63.
