This amount is 32.48% lower than the same indicator for the corresponding period of last year, BSE said in an English language press release.
The 93.45% out of the total volume made by the transactions with the government securities.
The main part of the fall comes from the government securities market. Particularly, the primary and secondary market of Notes were down by 75.98% and 70.37%, respectively. Moreover the volume of Repo transactions decreased by 28.09%. Overall the government securities market fell by 35.71%.
Although the primary market of corporate bonds fell by 99.08%, the overall corporate securities market increased for 2.37 times. Particularly, the secondary market of corporate bonds increased for more than 3.5 times.
The highest growth rate was observed in the secondary market of equities, which jumped 284 times. Additionally, the volume of primary market more than doubled during the mentioned period.
There is an increase in trading activity of both Treasury Bills’ primary and secondary markets for 1.68 and 9.16 times, respectively.
