Baku-APA. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al-Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), said on Wednesday that Iran is meddling in the ongoing Yemen crisis, the UAE daily Gulf news reported, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Shaikh Abdullah made the remarks during a visit by Yemeni Foreign Minister Riyadh Yassin to Abu Dhabi.
The UAE diplomat said the situation in Yemen worsened because Iran was trying to export the Islamic revolution to the Arab peninsula.
"Iran leaves no hope for proper dialogue with its neighbors," he said.
Both the UAE and Saudi Arabia blame Iran for supporting Houthi rebels with weapons and financing. The UAE is one of the Gulf states which have joined the Saudi-led campaign against the Houthi rebels since late March.
