Baku-APA. One person has died and three people are seriously injured after an explosion at a Perth shopping centre, APA reports sky news. A police spokesman said a transformer exploded near the Woolworths store at the Galleria shopping centre in Morley about 9.30am on Tuesday.
WA Police commissioner Karl O'Callaghan told Fairfax radio police received a report that two people were on fire. St Johns Ambulance says half a dozen people have been treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and stress.
Three men have been taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious burns. One person is dead.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has cordoned off the scene. EnergySafe and WorkSafe will investigate the incident. A spokeswoman for RPH said the three patients are in a critical condition.
