Baku-APA. Ongoing investigation showed that Israeli soldiers crossed the Israeli-Lebanese border before Tuesday night's explosion, a UN spokesperson said Friday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

Paolo Serra, commander of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon ( UNIFIL), told UN spokesperson office that "it is clear that the presence of Israeli soldiers in Lebanon in violation of the Blue Line constitutes a serious breach of the terms of UN Security Council resolution 1701," the spokesperson said.

Resolution 1701, adopted in August 2006, halted the war between Israelis and Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

Serra said the UN mission has strongly protested the violation to the Israeli army and called for its full cooperation with the investigations.

A UNIFIL team is working with the Lebanese army on the ground to determine on which side of the UN-Demarcated Blue Line the explosion happened, Serra said. Israeli's army said that four soldiers were wounded in the explosion.

The UN mission, which is responsible for monitoring a "blue line" that delineates the border between Israel and Lebanon, opened an investigation on Wednesday after the Lebanese army said that an Israeli patrol had crossed the UN-demarcated Blue Line border before a blast occurred.
