Iraq: 9 killed, 32 injured in Baghdad attacks

Baku-APA. Prime Minister al-Abadi had lifted Baghdad’s eight-year curfew on Feb. 7, citing "improved security conditions," APA reports quoting Anadolu Agency.

 

At least nine people have been killed and 32 injured Monday in multiple bomb attacks across Baghdadand neighboring towns, police said.

 

According to information received from police, at least 8 people were killed and another 28 were injured in explosions in Baghdad’s western neighborhood of Furat, in its northern Taji district, and in other areas in the city and in the southern town of Latifiyah as well.

 

In addition, at least one police officer was killed and four were injured after a roadside bomb exploded, as the police were patrolling in Baghdad province’s western town of Yusufiyah township.
