Conference dedicated to the genocide of Azerbaijanis held in Swedish Parliament

Baku.Malahat Najafova-APA. On April 14, the Swedish Parliament held a conference devoted to the genocide of Azerbaijanis.

The event was organized with the support of the Azerbaijan Cultural Society in Stockholm, Azerbaijani-Turkish unity in Gothenburg and European Azerbaijan Society (AAC).

The main speakers at the even were rector of Turkish Giresun University Aygun Attar, head of the Congress of South Azerbaijan, the founder of the "Karabakh" society Abdullah Amir Hashemi, Israeli investigative journalist Arye Gut, head of Azerbaijani studies center of European Azerbaijan Society Professor Karim Shukurov, as well as investigative journalist from Canada Oguz Turk.

Professor K.Shukurov spoke about the importance of bringing the truth about the genocide of Azerbaijanis to the world. He noted that the anti-Azerbaijani circles are worried seriously by the ongoing projects in the region.

The conference also discussed the Azerbaijani diaspora’s policy, the work carried out on the recognition of the country in the world, the role and development of Azerbaijan in the region.
