Baaku-APA. The emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers presided by Egypt has just been convened on Wednesday at the Cairo-based Arab League (AL) headquarters to discuss the latest developments of the Syrian issue, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
A delegation of the Syrian opposition took part in the meeting to discuss the preparations for the international Geneva II conference, whose exact date has not yet been fixed.
"Today's meeting will tackle the recent developments in Syria, where the conflict has reached dangerous escalation of killing and bloodshed, threatening all efforts exerted to resolve the crisis politically," a well-placed source at the AL told Xinhua.
The source added the Arab foreign ministers will also review the results of the recent meeting of Arab Ministerial Committee on Syria held on May 23 and the Arab agreed-upon vision that will be presented at the international Geneva II conference.
