Now is a very appropriate time to discuss energy issues and the energy crisis, Azerbaijan's Presidential Representative on Climate Issues and COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev said at the opening ceremony of the 20th Baku Summer Energy School organized by the Institute for Development and Diplomacy of ADA University, APA-Economics reports.
"The events in the Strait of Hormuz once again demonstrated that the energy crisis is extremely relevant and poses a very serious threat to the entire world," Mukhtar Babayev noted.
According to him, nuclear energy is also of particular importance today.
"Within the framework of COP28 in Dubai, it was emphasized that nuclear energy is a safe source of energy, and interest in this field has now increased significantly worldwide," Mukhtar Babayev said.
