The "Great Return" programme to Azerbaijan's formerly occupied territories is continuing in line with instructions from President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
46 families, comprising a total of 223 people, have been relocated to the village of Shukurbeyli in the Jabrayil district during the latest phase of the resettlement programme.
The returning residents had previously been living in temporary accommodation across various regions of Azerbaijan, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums and administrative buildings, after being displaced from their homes.
Residents returning to Shukurbeyli expressed their gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the state's comprehensive support.
They also thanked the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, including soldiers and officers, for liberating the territories, and paid tribute to those who lost their lives in service to the country.
