The Russian army carried out strikes overnight on key Ukrainian defense facilities in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region, APA's Moscow bureau reports, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.
It was reported that overnight strikes targeted the "Kyiv-71" industrial enterprise, which specializes in the development and production of long- and medium-range reconnaissance drones, as well as telemetry, electronic and optical equipment for Ukraine's military-industrial complex; the "Kyiv-1" Electronic Industry Assembly Enterprise, which manufactures long- and medium-range UAVs and radar equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine; and the "Kyiv-79" industrial enterprise, the main producer and supplier of armored vehicles and armored protection components for the Ukrainian army.
At the same time, the Kyiv Shipbuilding Plant, a major machine-building enterprise producing "Gyurza-M" artillery boats as well as unmanned attack boats, and the Kyiv Shipbuilding Plant, which serves as the main research and production base manufacturing fire control systems, navigation and automation equipment for the Ukrainian Air Force and Navy, including Neptune-MD guided missiles, was struck.
In addition, the state-owned military-industrial complex enterprise "Julyany" Missile Assembly and Components Plant, which manufactures, services and repairs anti-aircraft missile systems, aircraft components and air defense systems, was also among the targets.
The Russian Ministry of Defense also announced that strikes had been carried out on the infrastructure of military airfields in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Kyiv regions.
