Police Superintendent Wasi Haider told media that the incident took place when two vehicles collided with each other near the Loni Kot area on the Super Highway in Jamshoro, a district in the country's southern province of Sindh.
The accident killed eight people on spot besides leaving three others seriously wounded.
Police and rescue teams rushed to the site and pulled out the bodies and the injured by cutting the vehicles.
The bodies and the injured were rushed to the district headquarter hospital of Jamshoro, where the injured were reportedly in critical condition.
Police office said both vehicles were coming from opposite directions and the accident took place due to overspeeding and carelessness of drivers of both vehicles.
