According to the reports, the blast targeted a hotel in Kocha Risaldar area in the downtown area of Peshawar, the capital of northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The blast killed eight people on spot and left 25 others wounded.
Police, security forces and rescue teams rushed to site and shifted the bodies and injured to the Lady Ready Hospital where some of the injured were in critical condition.
The blast damaged the hotel completely besides damaging three other shops and vehicles parked nearby.
The nature of the blast was not immediately known.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
