APA reports that 7 of them were hanged in Alborz province over drug smuggling, another in Ardabil province over murder.
The name and surname of the people executed in Alborz have been revealed. They were Bahram Soltani, Mohsun Davoudi, Hadi Beygi, Meysam Haji, Feiz Mohammadi Sabirzehi, Nazar Ali Fakuk and Yunus Karami.
Only initial letters of the name and surname of the person executed in Ardabil has been revealed. He was accused of murdering a girl. He was married and had a daughter.
The executions were carried out in Ghezel Hesar prison, Karaj on January 26 and in Meshkin Shahr prison on January 27.
