Baku-APA. A 6.1 magnitude quake jolted southwest Japan at around 2:07 a.m. early Friday, according to Japan's meteorological Agency, APa reports.
The focus detected at 33.7 degree of north latitude and 131.9 degree of east longitude, south of Hiroshima Prefecture, with a depth of 80 km.
The quake was registered at upper 5 on Japan's seismic intensity of 7 in parts of Ehime prefecture and the tremor was felt in prefectures including Hiroshima, Kochi, Yamaguchi and Oita.
No tsunami warnings were issued and no immediate reports on damage and injuries as of now.
