The World Health Organization (WHO) intends to continue its activities in Syria, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization shared a post in this regard on his X account, APA reports.
"WHO teams based in Syria are still on the ground, working to ensure continuity of health services. We remain steadfast in our commitment to the long-suffering Syrian population, who need access to health services. Health workers, facilities, transport and supplies must be protected. We call on all parties to respect this. We also call on donors to urgently provide resources to WHO and partners so we can all deliver on our life-saving mission," the post reads.
