President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has held a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, the Turkish Presidential Administration stated, APA’s Türkiye correspondent reports.
It was noted that the recent developments in Syria were discussed during the conversation.
Erdoğan stated that Türkiye has supported stability and Syria’s territorial integrity since the first day of the civil war.
The Turkish leader emphasized to the NATO Secretary General that Syria should be governed by its own people.
Erdoğan also stressed that Türkiye will do everything in its power to establish a united Syria free from terrorism.
