Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated in a statement regarding developments in Syria, "We do not want to engage in conflict with any country, including Israel, in Syria", APA reports citing CNN Turk.
Hakan Fidan made important statements during a live broadcast on CNN Turk. Evaluating regional and global developments, Fidan also spoke about the developments in Syria and Israel's moves towards Syria.
Stating that "it is unacceptable for Israel to try to provoke in Syria by using its expansionist ambitions in the region," Fidan said, "There is a stance that the Syrians have taken on this. I repeat, as Turkey, we have no intention of engaging in conflict in Syria with Israel or any other country in the region. However, we cannot just watch Syria being subjected to internal turmoil, an operation, or a provocation that would threaten Turkey's national security again. We will not just sit back and watch that either," he added.
Moreover, Fidan also stated, "We do not attack any country that does not attack us."
