Taiwan Ministry of National Defense stated on Thursday that one Chinese aircraft and three other warships were detected earlier around the island, APA reports citing Teletrader,
"ROC Armed Forces have monitored the situation and tasked CAP aircraft, Navy vessels, and land-based missile systems to respond to these activities," read the message on Twitter posted by the ministry.
The development comes at the same time China vows a "resolute" answer to today's meeting between United States House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen.
