Syrian opposition leader Ahmed al-Sharaa stated that his country is not prepared to enter another war, as its people are exhausted from years of conflict, APA reports citing TASS.
"People are tired of the war, and that is why the country is not ready to enter a new one," the Qatar-based Al Jazeera TV channel quoted him as saying.
He stated that there was "fear in Syria caused by the presence of [Bashar] Assad's regime."
"Now that it has fallen, the country is moving toward development, reconstruction, and stability," al-Sharaa explained.
