As of today, some of the sanctions imposed on Iran terminate, Ali Bagheri Kani, Political Deputy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran said on his X account, APA reports.
According to Kani, as of 18 October 2023, in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolutions 2231 (UNSCR), all restrictions imposed on ballistic missile-related activities and transfers to/from the Islamic Republic of Iran terminate: "Iran is no longer subject to any restriction in the context of the Security Council. As of today, all restrictions imposed on the individuals & entities on 2231 list, inc. freezing of assets, terminate and the list will be removed from the UN website.
All national or regional restrictive measures/sanctions imposed against Iran on the basis of UNSCR 2231 shall be terminated accordingly. Maintaining such measures or imposing new ones clearly violate letter and spirit of UNSCR 2231."
