Internet access restrictions were imposed in Iran after foreign-coordinated terrorist operations began during protests, according to Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, APA reports citing Al Jazeera.
"The internet shutdown happened when terrorist operations started on orders from abroad," he told Al Jazeera.
According to the international internet monitoring service NetBlocks, internet access in Iran has been restricted for over 96 hours. On January 9, the Iranian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announced it was taking measures to restore internet services that had been restricted by security authorities.
