Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, which has become the main voice in power in Syria, has demanded that Palestinian groups in the country lay down their weapons, close their training camps, and disband their military units, APA repirts citing the Lebanese newspaper "Al-Akhbar".
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham informed Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which are headquartered in Damascus, that they could maintain charitable organizations and engage in political activities under the auspices of the Syrian state, but they would not be allowed to use Syrian territory as a base or checkpoint against Israel.
