"Although Türkiye supports its perspective of the full membership in the EU, we do not see this from the EU," said Türkiye's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan at a briefing with local and international media representatives, APA reports.
"If Türkiye had become a full member of the EU between 2008 and 2010, how would the EU look today? There are many such questions. However, throughout these years, efforts have continued within the EU to prevent Türkiye from becoming a full member. Currently, in the 27-member EU, issues related to Türkiye are delayed with minor technical reasons. The small obstacles raised in Türkiye-EU membership hinder major strategic achievements," the minister added.
