The cabinet of ministers, which had served under Syrian President Bashar Assad, has transferred all duties to the interim government of the Arab republic, led by Mohammed al-Bashir, former Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali told the Al Arabiya TV channel, APA reports.
"A meeting was held, as you have seen in the media, where former and new ministers were introduced. There were fewer new ministers, as some agencies were dissolved," he said, confirming that "the transfer of duties was completed smoothly." The former prime minister explained that Syria has a complex bureaucratic system, with various departments and directorates, yet "in reality, the decisions are now in the hands of the interim government."
