The Chinese government allegedly asked the World Trade Organization (WTO) to conduct an investigation and strengthen its monitoring of export controls on advanced semiconductors by Japan, the United States, and the Netherlands, APA reports citing Yomiuri.
According to the report, China argues that the export restrictions "violate the WTO principles of fairness and transparency and undermine the authority and effectiveness of the WTO".
Last October, the US enacted a semiconductor regulation against China, and in December, China filed a complaint against the US.
