Cavusoglu: "US is dissatisfied with the meetings regarding Syria"

Türkiye considers the preconditions for holding meetings with Syria unacceptable, said Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish Foreign Minister in an interview with "Haber Turk", APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.

He noted that Türkiye's position on the fight against the PKK/YPG and the safe return of Syrian migrants to their homeland is firm.

The minister emphasized that his country is one of the countries that defends the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Syria the most.

Cavusoglualso reminded that the date of the meeting of the foreign ministers of Türkiye, Russia, Syria and Iran has not been specified.

"The inclusion of Iran in the meetings on the Syrian issue was Russia's proposal. I cannot say that Iran's role in this regard has been negative thus far (since its participation in the meetings - ed.)...The US is dissatisfied with the Syria meetings because the fight against the PKK is also discussed," the minister stated.
