Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu emphasized the positive impact of cooperation between China and Russia in the military-technical field on a global and regional level, said Russia-1 television channel, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Following a working meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday, Li stated that their cooperation has been developing very well and stressed the importance of the personal friendship between Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. "This contributes to ensuring global and regional security," Li stated.
Li's visit to Russia is the first foreign trip after his appointment as China's minister of defense.
