"In the year that Aktau city has been granted the status of 'Cultural capital of the Turkic world,' more than 30 international cultural and creative projects are planned to be implemented by the end of November. These events will include a festival, scientific conferences, exhibitions, and competitions," APA reports, citing Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It was noted that the opening ceremony took place on April 5 in the Mangistau region. A message from Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was read to the participants.
President Tokayev stated that strengthening cooperation among Turkic peoples is a common responsibility.
