Trilateral summit to have far reaching impact on region: Pakistani FM

Baku-APA. Pakistani Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar said Friday that Pakistan-Afghanistan-Iran trilateral summit held in Islamabad would have far reaching impact on the region, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

After the conclusion of the two-day summit, Khar told media that the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran had been mandated to prepare and coordinate a ’Road Map’ for trilateral cooperation for submission to the Fourth Trilateral Summit to be held in Kabul by the end of this year.

On the same occasion, Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that the interior ministers of three countries had been given the mandate to develop a framework of trilateral cooperation particularly in the areas of counter terrorism, counter-narcotics and border management within six months.

Malik said that any destabilization in this region would affect the whole world, adding that Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran face the challenge of terrorism and they should join hands to fight this menace.
