Jordan says Israel absent partner in peace process

Baku-APA. Jordan’s Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh on Tuesday said Israel is the absent partner in the peace process and the Arab part is ready for peace, APA reports siting Xinhua.

At a meeting with Japanese Mideast Peace Envoy Yutaka Iimura, the Jordanian official underlined the need for intensified efforts to realize a tangible progress in the peace process to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which is the core of conflicts in the region.

Judeh highlighted the key role Japan can play in pushing the peace process forward, underlining the need for continued coordination, according to a statement by the Foreign Ministry.

The Japanese official stressed his country’s support for Jordan ’s efforts to resume peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis.

He also voiced appreciation of Jordan’s efforts to attain peace and stability in the region.

The two sides also looked into developments in Middle East and obstacles facing the peace process.
