Pakistan President visits Afghanistan

Baku-APA. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari paid a visit to Afghan capital Kabul Tuesday and held meeting with his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai, a statement released by Afghan Presidential Palace here said, APA reports siting Xinhua.

"President Zardari besides expressing condolence over the death of Ahmad Wali Karzai, the brother of President Karzai, also exchanged views on matters pertaining mutual relations," the statement added.

Ahmad Wali Karzai, the younger brother of President Hamid Karzai and the head of Kandahar Provincial Council, was assassinated in his home by one of his bodyguards last Tuesday.

Both the presidents also exchanged views on enhancing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries as well as the war on terror, the statement further said.
