Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan is investigating the fact that the song "Yarımgila" belonging to the People's Artist Javanshir Guliyev was performed by the Armenian singer Minas Ovanesyan (Mino) and spread on Tik-tok on Facebook, the agency told APA.

The song was armenianized by the performer Minas Ovanisyan (Mino), that is, he changed the words and performed without the permission of J. Guliyev and did not indicate the name of the composer.

With this, the personal (non-property) rights and property (economic) rights of J. Guliyev were violated by the Armenian singer Minas Ovanisyan (Mino).

Noted that notices were sent about the removal of the song performed by Minas Ovanisyan (Mino) from all platforms.

At the same time, this case is a violation of the provisions of the national legislation, as well as the "national regime" principle, which is one of the basic principles established in Article 5 of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, to which Azerbaijan and Armenia are members, as well as the Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the WIPO Copyright Treaty (WCT) and WIPO Performances and Phonograms Treaty (WPPT) and the provisions of other international agreements.
