â€œSeven Beautiesâ€ is on stage on the occasion of Gara Garayevâ€™s 90th anniversary

Baku. Ulkar Gasimova â€“APA. On Thursday the new production of Seven Beauties, ballet by outstanding composer USSR Peopleâ€™s Artist Gara Garayev was performed on the stage of Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater on the occasion of the composerâ€™s 90th anniversary, APA reports. Libretto of the ballet was written after the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjaviâ€™s â€œSeven Beautiesâ€ poem and first performance took place in 1952.
Musical director and conductor of the new production sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism is Elshad Bagirov. Chief ballet-master is Russian choreographer Vasiliy Medvedev, libretto â€“ Yana Temiz, stage design â€“ Dmitriy Cherbadji. Dancers of Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater perform the ballet. First night of the performance will take place on November 29.
Gara Garayevâ€™s son Faraj Garayev with his family and daughter Zuleikha Bagirova will attend the first night. Chief of ballet troupe of Russian Bolshoy Theater Yuriy Burlaka, organizer and art director of Munich Musical Art Festival of Germany Cornelia von Kerssenbrock and Ludwig Baumann, ballet-master of Prague Opera and Ballet Theater Stanislav Fecho and other quests will also watch the performance.
