“The war with Iran will end soon,” stated US Vice President James David Vance at a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, APA reports.
He said that the war with Iran would end soon, but noted that how it ends depends on Iran.
Vance also commented on the closure of the Strait of Hormuz during his remarks.
“The more the Iranians try to gain economic benefit from the Strait of Hormuz, the more potential the United States has to inflict economic damage on Iran. We have the capacity to cause more harm than they have inflicted on us and our allies. That is why I hope they are smart people,” Vance said.
The vice president said he is confident that the United States will receive a response from Iran by 8:00 today, but noted that he does not know whether the response will be positive or negative.
“We hope they will give the right answer,” he said.
