The territorial issue in the Ukraine crisis resolution remains unresolved, but the differences are narrowing, said US Secretary of State and National Security Advisor Marco Rubio, APA reports.
"I think there remains one issue you're all familiar with, namely, territorial claims regarding Donetsk, in particular. I know that active work is underway to try to bring the positions of both sides closer together on this issue," he said.
"It's still a bridge we haven't crossed. It's still a chasm. But at least we've managed to narrow the range of issues to one central one. And while that will likely be very difficult, it's nonetheless one issue we're working on," the Secretary of State said at a hearing of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
