The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced the completion of its series of strikes against Iranian targets carried out in response to Iran's recent missile attack.
According to CENTCOM, U.S. forces conducted large-scale strikes on July 29 against targets belonging to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The command said the operation was launched in retaliation for the missile attack carried out by Iran a day earlier against U.S. forces stationed in the Middle East.

According to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the operation began at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on July 29 (04:00 Baku time on July 30).
In a post on X, CENTCOM said the strikes were carried out in response to Iran's attempted attack on U.S. forces in the Middle East the previous day.
"U.S. forces began strikes against Iran at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The strikes are in response to Iran's attempt to attack American forces in the Middle East yesterday," CENTCOM said.
