The US Navy will begin a blockade of all ships attempting to enter or exit the Strait of Hormuz.
According to APA , US President Donald Trump made this announcement in a tweet.
“So, the meeting in Islamabad went well, most points were agreed upon, but the one and most important issue — the nuclear issue — was not agreed upon. Effective immediately, the US Navy, the best in the world, will begin a blockade of all ships trying to enter or leave the Strait of Hormuz. After a certain period of time, we will switch to a “let everyone in and let everyone out” regime, but Iran has made this impossible by simply saying, “There may be a mine somewhere,” and no one but them knows that. This is blackmail on a global scale, and no leader, especially the United States, will succumb to blackmail. I have ordered the Navy to track and seize all ships in international waters that are making illegal payments to Iran. No ship making illegal payments will be able to safely navigate the high seas. We will also begin to neutralize the mines that Iran has placed in the Strait. Those from the Iranian side who fire on US forces or peaceful ships will be “totally destroyed,” Donald Trump noted.
