The trial of Tyler James Robinson, accused of murdering American conservative political activist Charlie Kirk, could last several years, said Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Cash Patel, APA reports.
"We're talking about state-level murder charges. <...> Murder cases take a long time, if not years, to resolve," he said in an interview with Fox News.
Kirk's widow, Erica, previously asked the court for a speedy trial in the case.
