Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has ordered the EU envoy to leave within 72 hours after the EU sanctioned a group of Venezuelan officials, APA reports quoting Sputnik.
Maduro's order comes after the Council of the European Union on Monday sanctioned 11 Venezuelan officials, parliamentarians, a magistrate and a senior military chief, for acting against the National Assembly, which is dominated by the opposition, Reuters reported. The new sanctions increase the total number of Venezuelans linked to the Maduro government to 36. The sanctions include a travel ban and an asset freeze.
