Advisor to United States President Donald Trump on the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Scott Atlas, resigned from the position, the White House confirmed, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The announcement came after US media reported that he tendered his resignation in a letter dated December 1. The letter commends the work the Trump administration has done during the pandemic. It also refers to "the new team" that will be coming in and Atlas wished them all the best.
Atlas was a supporter of keeping businesses open during the pandemic and had been criticized for his stance in media heavily.
