According to him, the results of final exams will be probably taken into account in entrance exams and the subjects in entrance exams decreased: “Every exam has its own goal. The exams are held both for attestation and specialty certification. The final exams are a certification one, everyone can participate in these exams and it is the aim of final exams. The entrance exams aim to make a choice among applicants. Therefore, we don’t consider expedient the merger of these exams.”
The department chief note that sometimes, Kazakhstan, which jointly holds final and entrance exams, is shown as an example to SSAC: “But Kazakhstan will also separate entrance and final exams. Russia faces some problems in holding unique state exams.”
